Life hits us from all directions. We learn to juggle jobs, school, extracurricular activities, children, and life in general. It's an ongoing process. Some people learn early on how to balance everything. Others struggle, and never succeed. Then there's the majority . . . most of the time, we manage. Sometimes, we drop a ball or two.
I'm sure you noticed, I put myself in the latter category. Most of the time, I maintain a sure and steady pace. There are times, I drop the ball. I've done that more than a few times this year. I've most certainly done it with my website.
I've tried to keep it all updated, fresh, and interesting. For the most part, I believe I've succeeded. Except for my blog. I've been lacking in that department. Maybe, it's because I write a weekly blog under the Eclectic Bard banner. To me, it's redundant to post the same blog on my website. I try to change it up somewhat, and I think that's what has tripped me up. I'll try to do better. No promises, but I will try.
There's something about the first of October that rejuvenates me. It's certainly not cooler weather. LOL That doesn't happen until December, if I'm lucky. No, it's more the holidays and activities that excite me. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas . . . football and the Renaissance Faire, these are my favorite things, and they're all at the end of the year.
Since I started writing, there's even more to look forward to. I'm releasing a book in December, and setting up for another release in the Spring. Those require massive preparations and promotions. I have to stay on my toes to get it all done. Throw in a few online author take-overs and local book signings, and I'm caught up in my own world of books, authors, and readers.
I'm also starting a new job, and that brings exciting challenges. New routines, new work duties, new co-workers. It's a good thing I'm not afraid to try different things. Right now, it's a clean slate. It's one I'm more than ready for.
I'll be doing a cover reveal of my new release, Save the Last Dance soon. With it will come teasers, excerpts, and giveaways. If you haven't signed up for my newsletter, it's not too late. You can sign up on the first page of my website, www.MadisonGranger.com
