Calm Before the Storm
It’s been a quiet week, which is probably a good thing. It gave me a chance to prepare for today. Later this evening I have author take-over slots with the End of Summer Book Fair, hosted by The Book Nymph https://www.facebook.com/events/1222864924425312/ and the Matanzas Moon Bookiversary Blast, hosted by Elizabeth Raven https://www.facebook.com/events/246457542415361/ My personal hour slot with the Book Fair will be 4pm CST/5pm EST, and I’ll be at the Bookiversary Blast for 7pm CST/8pm EST. Both of these events started Sept 9 and will continue through Sept 11. Check out their pages for the chance to interact with a lot of great authors, get the latest on releases, play a few games, and win some great prizes! It’s fun all the way around. Sounds like a win-win to me!
While I’m posting about online events, I want to remind everyone about the Summer Indie Book Awards that is still going on through Sept 11. I believe the Romance category will be extended for another day due to a glitch in the beginning. Phoenix Rising has been nominated in the Paranormal and Romance divisions. You’re vote would be so appreciated. http://goo.gl/pJP0qc and http://goo.gl/xHGf3r This has been an honor and an exciting journey for me. Those votes means that people know about my book.
Added to that mix, I’m getting ready for a local event. Our main library is hosting ‘Books for the Bayou’. It will be a gathering of local authors selling their latest books and meeting readers. My last book event was TNEE in April, so I’m really looking forward to this one. A small event, but still a chance to meet readers and introduce them to my world of the Kindred.
