Progress Report

Wanted to let you know what’s going on in my world. Still packing, making a little headway. We’re putting non-essentials in a storage unit for now. Apparently, my life was filled with a lot of unused items. We’ve been sorting as we go; throwing away a lot, keeping some, discovering the forgotten. It’s been an emotional and sweaty task. Believe me, an attic in July is no fun. Hell on earth can be found at my place right now.

We found a house. Had to go through background checks, credit checks, application checks. I swear I didn’t go through this much to work at the local hospital! Finally got the approval and will sign the lease next week on my next day off. Then, the work really begins. At this point, my daughter and I are more than ready to get this over with. It’s time to tie up the loose ends of the past and move forward to a new future, one with a clean slate.

Then, it’s back to work. I have a book to get out.
