So it begins ...
This has been a productive authory week, and I have to admit it feels good. To Kill A Demon
is up for pre-order, releasing on August 28. You can grab your Kindle Edition here for only 99 pennies. I hope you enjoy reading the adventures of Sully and Larke as much as I did in telling their tales.
One of my closest friends is getting close to releasing his debut novel. I’ve been going over it with a fine-toothed comb, making sure it’s as error free as it can get. I’m not sure which one of us is more excited about his baby. I’ve read it so many times, I feel like I know it almost as well as one of my own.
Of course, there always seems to be that one piece of bad that tends to give me grief. Facebook is cracking down on professionals from promoting their wares on their profile pages. Yes, I have an author page on Facebook, but the majority of my friends and readers are on my profile page, not my author page. Now, according to the Facebook police, we can’t post anything about our business on our profile page without risking being shut down, which means anything about my books. Which is fine and dandy, I’ll post on my author page. Unfortunately, not many will see those posts. Therein lies the problem. How do you get your friends to LIKE your business page, other than asking? I guess I’ll see in the coming days as I ask all of you to come over to the other page and LIKE me. I hope you’ll join me there.
Before this weekend is over, I still have to put together a newsletter and finalize plans for
Booking in Baton Rouge. I’ve ordered my books, reserved my room, and touched base with the event coordinator. Need to go over my swag and see what I’ve got, and what I’m going to need. It’s been three years since I’ve been to a book signing of this caliber. I’m equally nervous and excited. If you’re going to be in the Baton Rouge area October 20, you can get tickets for the event here. I hope to see you there.
Until next week,
~Madison
