Getting my Groove Back

I am happy to report that I’ve had a most productive week. My first urban fantasy, To Kill A Demon has been released. While not taking off quite as well as I’d hoped, I’m still confidant that once I find that group of urban fantasy readers, Demon will find a home. I don’t regret writing in a different genre. I’m proud of this book and know it will be appreciated on its own one day soon. You can still get it for 99 cents HERE.

My formatting job went smoother than I could have dreamed. I figured I would spend my entire five days off working on it, having to send it to the publisher for the final tweaks. To my amazement, I finished it in one day with no issues. Well, none that I’ve heard back on, anyway. On my end, it was letter perfect. I’m just tickled that I’m beginning to understand the mysteries of formatting.

To make everything even sweeter, I finished going over my friend’s debut novel. He made his corrections and formatted it. Hitting upon a few snags, he sent it to me to see if I could fix it. I had my doubts but agreed to look at it. Once again … trumpets sounding … I figured it out and fixed the problem. Yay, me! You have no idea how excited I am. To me, this is a huge accomplishment.

I’ve started working on Heart of Stone again. Figuring the best way is to start at the beginning and work my way through it. I don’t mind. It feels great to be in the swing of things once again.

Until next week,

~Madison
