Let the Good Times Roll (Well,"someone's" having a good time)
The party buses are running. Music’s blaring and riders are dancing, having a good ole time. The first Mardi Gras parade ran last night. I guess everyone had a good time. I was at home, crashed from a long shift at work. The past two weeks are taking a toll on me. For five days I had a sore throat. No other flu symptoms so I thought I was safe. Went to work and pow! It all began to kick in. By the end of the day my voice was starting to crack and squeak. Next day—nothing. No voice. Nada, uh uh, not happening. Couldn’t even manage a croak.
Needless to say, there was no writing or editing done on my days off. I was doing good to get my blog written. Remembered I hadn’t done a February newsletter. My apologies. It’s not happening. I’ll try to get one out in March. I want to remind everyone about the Craft Show on March 16 from 8:00-4:00 at the Houma Civic Center. I also want to show off my cover for Blindsided if you missed my post on Facebook. Currently sitting on the editor’s desk, I’ll probably get it back in a couple of weeks. Still set for an April release. Pray to the formatting gods to be kind!
On a parting note, Deuces Wild is up and running. I’m almost finished with Chapter 2. Once again, the characters are taking over as soon as I start to type. It has already veered from where I thought the story was going. This one is promising to be a wild ride.
Until next week,
