Books, Books, and More Books
Yesterday I received my first shipment of copies of Blindsided. It never gets old. I pick up a copy, staring at the cover like I’ve never seen it before. I’ve been sitting on that cover for the better part of a year before it ever made its way to social media, but it was still as exciting for me as the first time cover artist Victoria Miller sent it to me. I flipped through the pages, reveling in the thrill that this was my book. I wrote this! LOL Like I said, it never gets old.
I’ve got a number of friends who have requested signed copies. Over the next two days I’ll be meeting up with them to visit and deliver books. The rest will sit on the shelf, waiting for their new home.
I’m deep in the edits of a book by a new author. His tale is gut-wrenching and has brought tears to my eyes more than once. I’m anxious to see the reader’s reactions once this book makes its debut.
Other than that, I’m promoting Blindsided and working on Deuces Wild. I’m also getting this persistent nagging at the back of my mind that I don’t have a novella for the end of the year. It’s not required, but it feels odd. I’ve always managed two books a year. Is this year going to be different? I guess time will tell.
Until next week,
