Reclaiming my Life
I feel like it’s been forever since I sat down to write a blog. The last week of October 2019 my world took a dive (literally) and I’m still struggling to get my life back. I’m making progress since I had surgery to repair a bicep tear and reattach my rotator cuff. I have physical therapy and home exercises to look forward to because I’m not even close to being able to raise my right arm more than waist high. It will happen, in time. I will not accept the alternative.
I’m back at work full time. It’s hard after sitting home for three months, but I’m glad to be back with my co-workers. They missed me and that’s a huge incentive to get back in the swing of things.
On the writing front, things are slowly getting back on track. Deuces Wild, book five of my Kindred series is up for pre-order with a release date of March 24. I’m thrilled with this one and I think all you Kindred fans will be too. Deuces is packed with double everything … adventure, suspense, and fated mates. You’re gonna love Logan and Lucas Ferguson. You can pre-order the Kindle edition for only 99 cents HERE.
Locally, I’m sharing a panel spotlight with my friend and fellow author, FJ Roberts, at the Jambalaya Writers Conference on March 14 at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library. We’ll be discussing the pros and cons of Self-Publishing. The JWC hosts the all-day event, welcoming best-selling authors, editors, and others to offer guidance to writers of all skill levels.
I’ve also started on a new story. The Awakening of Amelia will be a stand alone paranormal romance. This one is a little different for me. I can’t say much right now because my muse keeps changing where I thought the story was going. It should be interesting to see how it all pans out.
After Amelia, I’ve got another Kindred novel to finish. Fated Journey will be book six of the series and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find out who’s finding their Promised Soul.
On that note, I’m going to say bye for now. Happy Reading!
Until next time,
~Madison
