Writing in a Virtual World

Was planning on updating my website… I really need to give it a makeover but that’s a big job and I haven’t worked myself up to it yet. While there, I found my latest blog had been written in May of this year. That was an eye-opener. I’ve been neglecting both blog and newsletter because there was nothing new or big to talk about.


And that’s not true at all. I’ve been busy all year. Covid19 has changed everything. There are no more book signings, everything is virtual now. I hope one day, we can get back some of what we used to have. I enjoyed the road trips, meeting other authors and readers. It was fun.


So, what have I been up to? Writing and promoting. Almost since I began writing I’ve wanted to be a part of an anthology. For those who don’t understand what that is… an anthology is a collection of stories by different authors released in one book. It’s usually on sale as a Kindle ebook for a limited time, then taken off all publishing platforms so the authors can release their works individually.


I finally found an anthology I wanted to be part of. I also had a story I was working on nearing completion that could be used for the anthology. That is how The Awakening of Amelia found its way into Sinners and Saints, Collection of Romantic Interludes.

This was a completely different way of promoting and marketing for me. Suddenly, I’m in the middle of a lot of different authors, the count eludes me, it keeps changing. Now, I have a list of groups I have to post weekly. Not bad, I can handle that. Then, the takeover parties began. Okay, I’ve done that before. I’ve got this.
